CAT8.1 Keystone 40GbE, tool-less mounting, housing material: metal zinc alloy

Cat 8.1 (link class I) supports transmission speeds of up to 40 gigabits per second (Gbit/s) at a maximum cable length of 30 metres with RJ45 plug connector.

Cat 8.1 Ethernet cable is mainly used for server rooms, data centres and for interconnecting switches or in the home to copy large data from A to B from the NAS to the PC e.g. for video editing in 4K quality, whereas Cat7 and Cat6a cable is designed for max. 10 Gbit/s. The difference between Cat7 and Cat6a is the frequency. The bandwidth measured in MHz indicates the value of how many bits and bytes (data) can be transmitted in one second.
