In order to use the maximum load of a balcony slab support, the static friction of the base must also be taken into account.
If a metal balcony slab support stands directly on a metal roof or a smooth base, even slight forces, e.g. from a gust of wind, can be sufficient to move the support.
However, if a rubber protection mat is placed between the roof and the balcony plate stand, the static friction is increased many times over.
