The POF Gigabit DIN rail media converter enables the easy conversion of electrical data signals from the common RJ45 connector into optical data signals, which are transmitted via the polymer optical cable (POF). Thus, network devices can be easily integrated into a POF network. It is designed to be placed on a DIN rail and requires only one width unit (1BE).
To establish a connection to a POF network, the device must be powered by an external power supply, which is not included in the delivery.
The media converter is characterized by low power consumption, a high data rate of up to 1Gbit/s and high compatibility with a wide range of end devices.

The Gigabit DIN rail media converter is suitable for the integration of IP based smart home systems, actuators, sensors or other DIN rail network devices into the POF home or office network.
