Connecting the door intercom via the WLAN network requires that you have full WLAN access at the outside of the door!!! Sometimes there is a WLAN transmission problem, so there is often good WLAN signal in front of the door at a distance of 1-2 meters. But if the device is mounted flat on the wall, it may be that there is no WLAN connection at this place. What is the reason for this? Basically, windows and doors shield the Wi-Fi signal, a reduced Wi-Fi signal transmits from the window/door into the outside area at a conical opening angle, but the Wi-Fi does not radiate 90° around the corner. Here you should carefully check whether WLAN is present when all windows and doors are closed. We recommend installing a Teltonika TAP100 WLAN access point outdoors, which also works reliably at operating temperatures of -40 °C to 75 °C.
