Difference between CLM6 and CLM253
The CLM6 Homemaster is intended for small CoaxLAN networks, the modem only works in bridge mode, so the CLM6 is not programmable!
However, if you wish to set up larger networks, the CL253 Pro Master is recommended for up to 253 modems, above which modems can be managed via the Master. For example, the CL253 Pro Master supports remote access via DynDNS, all CL64WLAN/CL600WLAN can be configured centrally to change WLAN SSID, VLAN configuration, bandwidth control, etc. The CL253 Pro Master can also be used as a remote control for the modem.
Starting with the CL600 series, peer-to-peer networking is not supported for security reasons. This means that the modems can be used as Internet receivers but you cannot connect to a computer network. This means that it is not possible to connect Modem-1 to a network printer connected to Modem-2. Because the modems do not see each other modems, the communication runs completely via the master (CLM6i/CLM6/CLM253). This only works by placing a network printer in front of the master.
